What information does ISC Research put online?
The name of the head of school, the generic school email number and contact details, the region, sub-region, country, city, mailing address, orientation, curriculum, size, examinations, membership of regional school associations and so on.

Users can query the system using any combination of these fields to produce an infinite variety of lists. Simple examples might be IB schools in India with an enrolment of more than 200, or British schools in the Middle East who offer IGCSE or all the schools in the world that match a profile of your school.

There are also extensive sections for news stories published about international schools around the world, schools opening in the future, overviews and statistical analyses.

We have a team of researchers in Oxfordshire whose sole function is researching, maintaining and developing the underlying databases using a great many different sources.

We look at a vast number of websites, we have software which seeks out local news stories about international schools, we work in association, and have data & research agreements, with many international school organisations including ECIS and CIS, we read everything we can find, attend lots of conferences and visit schools all over the world. And we have an increasing number of local correspondents.

Who can access the system?
Parents use the system to find suitable schools and can automatically email requests for brochures.

Other suitable commercial entities like Cambridge International Examinations (our first business client), publishers like Scholastic, Oxford University Press, or Nelson Thornes, plus a wide range of universities and colleges, all take out annual subscriptions.

International school organisations like ECIS, CIS and the Alliance for International Education have access to our systems via cooperative agreements.

And most importantly Heads of school and senior managers have totally free access to all the data. Continued free access only requires that schools regularly check that their data is correct.

It is by far the most comprehensive system available.
