This does not necessarily mean that schools are not delivering learning; many schools are providing learning for all or some of their students through online and virtual approaches. While the virus is impacting schools, we will share a weekly update here.

 Italy CLOSED Starting Monday, shops, restaurants, bars, barbershops, beauty salons, museums, and beachfront operators will all be allowed to reopen as long as they respect rules for social distancing and disinfecting facilities.  Laos REOPENING In the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, the Minister of Education Sengdeuane Lachanthaboune said that her country is gearing up to start opening schools gradually on 18 May for grades that have examinations, before opening the rest of the education institutions a few weeks later.
